Well, I got home from work earlier tonight to find my dad telling me I got a package in the mail. I was PSYCHED, my "Nismo" (Actually DC) CAI finally came. It's just about 11pm and I have work at 6am tomorrow, but doing what any other guy would do, I started working on my car  Well... I come to find out that taking the stock air intake system out of my 2012 versa is SUCH A PAIN IN THE @$$! The wires going to the O2 sensor in the airbox are ziptied to just about everything under the hood (exaggeration), and I couldn't get the damn box out! everything else came out pretty easy, but this box is just really getting me mad, it's behind the battery, i unbolted the battery and tried to just slide it forward a little, still couldn't get it. Besides all this useless information I just told you. I don't think the CAI I ordered is going to fit my car. Does anybody know if the 2012 1.8 hatchback is really any different then the 2011? Maybe i'm just tired and should try doing this some other time. I just want to know if I got the right CAI. I ordered mine from Versaspeed.com and it was labeled "Nismo" which is really isn't, unless DC/AEM are the ones making Nismo intakes. Anywayz, If anybody has any pointers about installing these CAI's please give me some advice, or just post a video please :facepalm2 I know I'm not the only person needing help with this. Thanks a lot guys.

Well, I worked on it today, I realized it's so much easier to just take the battery out. =p

Instructions state that you have to take the battery out. I installed mine over the weekend; didn't take off the bumper as there is a small opening in front of the wheel well area (but I probably added another 45 minutes of work and 20+ cuts on my arm reaching in that area). Only had to cut 1 zip tie, everything else looked like a tie but was nothing more than a plastic plug.

It looks and sounds nice... So I'm happy. :chuckle:

The Nismo intakes are rebranded AEM items.
