Getting my new 07 G35x Sedan on the 27th!

Well I was supposed to have my new 07 G35x Sedan today but delivery was pushed back till the 27th. So I'm a little bummed and thought I would share my excitement with someone

It is Platinum Graphite with the Stone interior and all of the options possible (Tech Package, Nav, Premium, Mud guards, and cargo net - bought the all weather floor mats and clear bra as well). My out the door price was $39500 plus tax. Not a great deal but no dealer around Denver Colorado has these on the lots. The AWDs are hard to get around here. We had a couple of heavy snow falls this year (33", 22" 10", etc...) so people are remembering that winters here suck

At least I get to keep driving the 03 G35 Sport Sedan they gave me to use till the new car is in. It may get some of my bad behavior out of the way before my real car shows up !

Anyway, just thought I would share and I'll post some pics when I finally have the car.

Cool. The G35x i took out was awsome in snow (even with the std all season tires not top of the line snows).

I'd like to hear your opinion on how you like the backup camera (at night especially) and the Premium 10 spkr sound system!

Well, the car is finally here, it actually showed up on Saturday but I've been too busy to post some pics. Sorry So far I am loving it, it is hands down the best car I have owned.

kc567567, the backup camera is very bright at night, the tail lights / backup lights illuminate everything very well. I personally think that the Premium 10 spkr Bose system sounds very good and has good bass - I don't want to shake the neighbors, just have some thumping.

Here are a couple of pictures, I have changed the wheels already and wouldn't mind some opinions on them. The new wheels are 20 X 8.5 Zinik Z18 Minardi with Pirelli PZero Nero M&S 245/35ZR-20 Tires. My wife says that she likes the original wheels better, I like these better (although there is more road noise which I will have to get used to). So I'm curious as to what other G35 aficionados think. The last picture is the before new wheels shot.

I'm thinking of getting the back and side windows tinted next.

Are there any power mods out for the 07 yet?

Any feedback on the wheels, tint, or power mods would be greatly appreciated.

I would say the only thing I'm a little disappointed in is the voice commands for the navigation. My friends Acura RL understands 'find nearest mexican restaurant', 'find nearest italian restaurant', etc... I wish that the G35 did the same. Do you think its possible that it would be an software upgrade in the future?

Premium speakers are great at sound reproduction, but its missing some base, not much, but its missing some.

Cant be any worse than the base system. That is one of the worst sounding stereos. I guess I should have gone with the premium pkg.

Has anyone tried to replace the speakers in an 07 and leave the head unit in? Were you happy?? I have some subs and an amp I can add to the system. Wondering how hard it would be to utilize this stuff with the existing head unit.

As far as tint (I might get flamed for this) I saw a Mercedes yesterday with a beautiful subtle blueish tint...something you might want to look into. It was the same colour as your G. A slightly darker tint always looks nice as well!

Thanks! I hadn't thought of a blue tint, might have to look into that. On the mod side I was looking at 3 - 4k for a budget. Want to get the most bang for my buck

I had to get the same size wheels and tires in both the front and the back so the AWD should not be affected at all, no staggering. We had snow yesterday and today here and I'm quite impressed with the way the car handles in the white stuff. I'm very happy with the new wheels and tires.

There was an issue with the TPMS. The service tech said that the stock TPMS sensors would work in the 20" wheels so I didn't order TPMS sensors from Tirerack. When they tried to put the stock TPMS sensors in the new 20" wheels they wouldn't fit, not enough space between the wheel and tire surface. So I did end up having to spend $378 on TPMS that did fit in the 20" wheels. I had them put the stock wheels and tires back together with the TPMS sensors (only 146 miles on them) and have them in the garage - I don't know if I want to keep them or sell them....

i purchased mine 07 g35x red last weekend 3/4 BUT they told me that theres a wait of up to 90 days its been a week and i still havent heard anything from them. i called and they said their looking and there isnt any in the US right now so its going to have to be ordered from japan. grrrr. idn if i can believe that.

how long have you guys been waiting for yours to come in? and also i read in some forums that they give u rentals and even another g to take home over night or w.e well im up in CT and havent heard of such thing.

howd you guys end up getting your rentals asking for them or the dealer offer? cuz if they did offer then i got shafted and still waiting for my ride. thanks guys.

I ended up waiting about 2 weeks for my car to come in. If I wanted the graphite interior they told me it would have been 90 days. As for the loaner G35 they gave me, I didn't ask they offered. Who am I to complain
