getting code P0420 on 03 nissan altima 2.5 help

ok so i have a code P0420 catalyst efficiency below threshold... heard everything from pre cats to cats to 02 sensors to i need to get the engine controll module reprogramed... car runs and idles fine so dont think its an 02 sensor plz help!!!!

If you do indeed need the ECU reprogrammed (I doubt it) then see the dealer because they use a special tool (Nissan Consult 2 or 3).
