Haha, yeah, so they don't know anything, oh well. What bothered me was your title for the thread. Most true car people are geeks (just a guess here). Look at the technical writers for the magazines, look at the guys who own the shops, look at Japanese people. they tend to be geeky.

What the hell is wrong with people? If your gonna write about something, ecspecially if other people are going to read it who may not know anything about the subject your writing, you sure as hell should know something about it. All the article did was talk about all the guys we consider ricers, like the guys who considered his NOS the best thing on his car, I know countless guys like that, who don't even have nos, but upon seeing that you've modified your car in any way of shape, will proceed to ask you wether you've got nos or not. Fwd 300zx? it's not so much sad as it is disgusting or sacreligious.

sadly this is typical when a journalist does a story on something they know nothing about. things get taken out of context.

kinda reminds me of the host of super 2ners. those two idiots dont know anything and talk in buzzwords. but otherwise its a decent show (most of the show was on dave coleman and his rally efforts - lots of video of the rally beater and his new sentra - ever seen a vspec sentra on 2 wheels;))

Ermmm, yeah. in their defense from the laymans perspective it looks like the "ricers" are taking over the scene previously dominated by the ford and chevy guys (all the OLD gear heads). I think thats what they were trying to write an article about. sounds like they need a good technical advisor, anyone need a job?

what they need to do is stick with what they are good at. showcasing electronic gadgets and the latest/greatest computers to yuppies.

the only people i know that read wired are yuppies and middle aged men who want to "look" sophisticated.

i dont know any hard core computer people that read it
