well this morning i cranked my hardbody over and i hear this ungodly ticking noise every time i rev it and when i idle and i have noticed my idle is ragged when it had usually been smooth they are new injectors/ plugs/ plug wires air filter/ fuel filter and i just did an oil change.

please help the ticking is driving me crazy!

sounds like valvetrain noise...maybe have a sticking valve.

time to pull the cover and check clearances.

took valve cover off checked springs valves etc etc and nothing but i did notice my timing chain looks a little worn

well i have good news and bad news...mostly bad news...good news first..i poped my engine and went to check the chain out fully...chain in good condition BAD NEWS timeing chain tensioner missing and not even a shred of it left where its supposed to be so i called the company's shop that used to own it at asked them if they had ever replaced it and they asked "what the hell is a timeing chain tensioner? " so i told him never mind and god bye..now...should i worry about if the engine is damaged at all?
