Hey everyone,

First time poster and hopefully future G owner. I'm looking in to purchasing a 6MT G37 coupe and through my researching I'm getting more and more confused on the models and packages. If you guys could PLEASE help me clarify. I've posted on the Myg37 forums and also read many posts that I could find through my searching to try and clarify everything, but I am reading different answers (or maybe they are just being worded incorrectly?).

I may be redudant with some of these questions, but just trying to cover everything I'm confused on.

TRUE/FALSE:

1.) The "S" badge/desginator on the back of the car means it's the sport PACKAGE and NOT the sport MODEL.

2.) The MANUAL (6MT) model does NOT have the sport PACKAGE available as an option.
(according to infiniti's website: http://www.infinitiusa.com/g_coupe/spec ... tions.html, it says N/A for sport package on the 6MT model)

3.) The word sport MODEL (6MT) and sport PACKAGE are two completely different things.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I've read one person say that the sport package isn't available for the 6MT and others say that the 6MT automically comes WITH the sport package. If the former, none of the manuals should have the "S" badge (if the "S" designates sport PACKAGE)?..

Thanks everyone for the clarification,
-Steven

Welcome to NICO!

For the 6MT coupe, it is considered a "Sport 6MT" model. It has the same features that the sport package has, but with a 6MT. You can get a G37 coupe "Journey" with a sport package, but it has the 7-speed AUTO only. The Base and Sport models do not have any packages available...The Base is stripped down G37 and the 6MT Sport has NAV, Premium, and Sport options included. The "S" badge is for any vehicle with the sport package (which the 6MT has).

Correct except for Nav. My 2009 SportMT does not have the Nav package just the Premium.

They may have changed that for the 2011's...the info is from Infiniti's website
