So if I were looking into buying a 2005 Infiniti G35x with around 125,000 miles on it what kind of price would I be looking to pay in a private party transaction assuming the car was in good physical shape and has had regular maintenance. What sort of problems should I look for when purchasing.

Check out edmunds or kelly blue book for the specifics on how much you should pay...but I would test drive it and make sure it doesn't make any suspension noise...could be an indication of some issues. Also, some of those G's have an oil consumption issue...I don't remember if the sedans were included in that...but if it's a 6MT, it probably is. Honestly, I would look to get a 2007+ sedan or 2008+ coupe if I were you. Big improvements in both versions of the G!

Good luck!

just search autotrader, car max, kbb, ect for a ball park price...

but issues wise at that milage it probably needs spark plugs, transmission flushed, radiator flushed, differentials and transfer cases need new fluid, new brake fluid, basically all fliuds changed. assuming it wasnt done already. mechanical wise the car should be fine assuming regular maintence was done. I put a hard 70k miles on my 2005 G35x in 2 years before trading for my 2010 g37x. My g35x ran perfect the day i traded it in, only reason i got rid of it was because i just wanted the new version.

+1

newer Gs are greatly improved interior wise, smoothness, refinement, and power.
