G35 Manual Trunk unlock

On my '03 G35 Sedan, the manual trunk opening mechanism isn't working. I can only open the trunk with the remote key. Anyone had this problem? Is there a fuse or connection I can check. It seems that whatever is suppose to happen when you unlock the car doors (condition for allowing the trunk to be opened manually) is not happening.

I'm not as familiar with the Sedan, but is there a trunk lock switch in the glove compartment? I've seen some cars with this and would prevent any manual trunk operation (so valet can't get into your trunk)

check the switch in the glove box...its a valet switch for the trunk
