I have a 2005 G35x sedan. 1st gen with the headlights and fog lights stacked on top of each other. Fog and hi-beams are same bulb as well, H4

On my other cars, i've always tapped the +12v wire from the corner light/parking light and spliced it into the +12v on the fog light relay, thus making my fogs able to work without the headlights being on.

This is my first car with the auto headlights. I've noticed odd things, like when i flash the highbeams the low beams and high beams come on. Looking at the wiring diagrams , it looks like everything goes thru the BCM/BCU. I thought this was a simple system.

So back to my question, can i tap into the parking light to power my fogs when i want? A fear something can happen to the BCM and its going to be costly. The other cars were just wiring and relay, cheap to replace if something was to happen (never did on all my olders cars)

Well... I don't know. I haven't seen this mod done, but I think you're correct to research it before starting. You might try posting this in our G35 forum for a better chance of getting a response from someone who has done it.

Good luck!
