Chinese Democracy is set to be out on November 23rd exclusively for sale only in Best Buy stores. And also, Dr Pepper has said that they will give everyone in America a free can of Dr Pepper if it's released before 09! Count me in! Finally!

Is anyone else excited?

That band has been giving its fans the middle finger forever now.

Chinese Democracy is eh..... not as good as the amount of publicity would suggest. Well at least it doesn't sound like the GnR that people became fans of.

Word, I want a Dr. pepper too.

But seeing as I've purchased GnR albums in the past I think they should give everyone a Dr. pepper for dealing with all the bands BS for so long.

anyways... that album has been finished for goddamn ever, they need to just release it and get my my damn DP.

i do like guns and roses, though.

I couldnt possibly be less interested in this album. AfD was amazing, and it was all downhill from there. I liked Axl Rose the least out of the original members, so there is really no reason for me to listen to it. I hope it fails miserably so Axl might choke on his ego and die.

I've heard a minute or two from a couple songs and it was absolute garbage. It's completely overproduced, it doesnt sound like metal anymore. I'd like to hear the original instrument tracks before all the engineering to see how much they changed with all the ambient sounds and mixing. Ugh, its bad.

it sucks. GnR should have stopped a long time ago. the only "okay" song off that album IMO is "better"

that record is a waste of money. axl spent, I believe, $15 million in the span of 15 years of recording and rerecording of instrument. the songs are not well written. this record is no longer the sound of the true GNR we know back then. Axl patented the name of GNR for marketing.

Every band has their heyday, and 1987 was it for GnR with AFD. Lies wasn't bad, Use Your Illusion had a few good songs (ones that didn't get any radio play) and the Spaghetti Incident were just covers.

I have listened to a few minutes of each of the songs, and it's nowhere near a true GnR album. It sounds like what Megadeth did with Risk. Techno type tracks that just doesn't fit what the band used to do.

Now, I am all about bands trying new things, I followed Metallica through Load, Re-Load and St. Anger, but even this album dissapoints me, and I used to be a HUGE fan of GnR. I had two walls of my bedroom covered with pictures and posters of the band while I was in high school. But now, I'll just pop in AFD and rock out with raw, uninhibited in your face rock.

So long GnR, it was a good run while it lasted.

I believe Chinese Democracy might go down as the most overhyped album in Rock and Roll History. 15 years for an album that's half as good as Metallica's Load... if that.

It's ok though... Ferrari was a major contributor to that album, as Axl thanks them in the liner notes.

Too bad... so sad. If you want to know what the REAL GNR is up to these days, check out the first Velvet Revolver record. Otherwise, just ignore Chinese Democracy ever happened and pop in Appetite for Destruction and call it a day.
