I am looking at buying a new G35 Sport and wondering what kind of target price I should expect from Infiniti?

G35 SportAutomatic TransmissionNavTechPremium

It runs MSRP $39,700, what should I expect to pay? I have never dealt with any luxury Japanese brand. Thanks.

I plan on purchasing this from Sewell or Crest in the DFW area. I am leaning more towards Sewell, because of the service.

I just purchased a '07 G35x with all the options (Nav, Tech and Premium). The MSRP is $40,500. My purchase price was 37,500. 500 above invoice. Trust me, if I wanted to I could have haggled down to invoice price, but I figured $500 wasn't a big deal. What I found useful was going through the Costco Auto Buying program. They basically have already Pre-haggled the price with specific dealers. When you call Costco, they will tell you which dealer are participating with them. I had two dealers in the NY, NJ area to choose from. The first had a costco price of $300.00 over invoice. The other had $500 over invoice. This is the price as you walk through the door without any negotiating. I loved it. Like I said, if you want to go lower, you are always welcomed to begin haggling. If I were you I would shoot for $300 over invoice. As always, go toward the end of the month when they are deperate for making their quotas. Good Luck.

I am not sure about prices on the sedan. Judging by the responses I guess there is wiggle room.

As far as deciding who to purchase it from let me share my story with you. I was a customer of Sewell Infiniti for about 5 years when they were at Welch and LBJ in Addison. I took my J30 in for an oil change and the porter who drove the car around broke my drivers seat. (Did I mention the guy was pushing 300 lbs?) A fat guy has no business propping his fat a$$ in a luxury car. Needless to say after fighting with Sewell management for about a month, (during which I ponied up the $975 to fix the seat that I did not break), having my own service tech fight for me with management, Producing five years worth of maintenance records proving the thousands of dollars I spent at their dealership and five years worth of loyalty, they refused to reimburse me for me for the repairs. SO, I reported them to infiniti corporate, wrote Carl Sewell a letter telling him to shove his "I provide great customer service" book that he wrote up his a$$ and I have never again stepped foot on a lot of Sewell's and never will. SO, you say good service at Sewell and I disagree.

Now don't get me wrong, Crest has its downside as well. Namely the salesman are a bunch of a$$ kissing leaches that are exactly what you expect when you picture a typical car salesman. I bought my G coupe from them and I lost count of the lies that my salesman told me. I knew before he did that he was full of crap. BUT the service department is impeccable. I had my J30 serviced there after the Sewell incident and continue to have my G serviced there.

Worse case scenario and I cringe as I say this but buy it at Sewell if they give you the better deal but depending on where you live in the metroplex, service it at Crest.

Or there is always Grubbs in Euless. I bought my J30 from them in '95 and I don't remember having a problem with them but again the best Infiniti service department in the metroplex is at Crest. If you are interested I can give you my service reps name and number if you buy one.

OR if flat screen TV's and coffee bars and cinnamon scones and all of that fru fru crap is more your style then by all means go to Sewell but remember Carl still has to pay for that crap and knowing him it comes inthe form of higher prices.

I prefer tech's that don't lie to me, prices that are reasonable and being shown respect by a staff willing to go the extra mile to satisfy the customer! That would be Crest.

Ok...Sorry for the novel but DAMN I hate Sewell!! I am off my soapbox now.

Good luck in your decision.

Thanks for the reply and it is good to know. It seems everyone talks about how great Sewell service is, but if it is just a fancy waiting room I could care less. I drive a Wrangler now and I am fine sitting in dingy little Mopar garages . I prefer they do whatever service I need with no hassle.

Crest is much closer to my house, however I do hate pushy car dealers. I will visit both and see what happens, before possibly moving on to dealers outside the area.

Once again, thanks.

Hey....just trying to keep it real you know

HToddy said it best Sewell is nothing more than a fancy waiting room. They like to think they are superior but there crap stinks just like the rest of us.

Crest has a nice waiting room too don't get me wrong....I mean it isn't a dump or anything just be leary of Crest's salespeople.

Like I say Crest's service department is A++++ They REALLY go the extra mile to take care of you.

Just my $0.02

Wouldn't it be great if some dealerships knew what the people who bought their cars we're saying about them??

I mean NiCO is sooo huge and reaches so many people, I wonder if it would change the way some of them do business or treat people.

Maybe an email with a link to the right person to open their eyes??

Wishful thinking...

I have a 2006 G35 Sedan 6sp manual with Premium package A, Sirius, but no NAV. I got mine out the door including 7% sales tax & a 4 year motor vehicle registration for a shade under $35K.I purchased my last four new vehicles in the month of December. I've always managed to get great deals. I bought the G35 on New Years Eve. If you can't wait until December time your purchase to the last week of the month.
