So driving to school I get this odd vibration and when I got to school I decided to pop my hood and see that the bracket is broken and now there is a nice size hole on my intake...

I have a 2.5s MT does anyone have any idea where would be a good place to mount it since I currently mount it to this gold piece that was there. I am going to head over to a friends shop tonight (I get out of school at 10 but might leave at 9) to get it weld back on.

Pictures would be great too.

Well don't patch it with something stupid other than metal/weld. If it has a hole in the pipe itself that's bad. Don't pay it with anything else or it might get sucked in your motor which would = fail.

When in doubt, 25 dollar intake FTW... lol

But yeah, pics of where it's broken would be nice.

Yea, its basically that vibration bracket. that shroud that comes to bolt to the firewall or whatever.

Got the intake fix and gave it some extra weld and epoxy the pieces together too. Looks ugly but its fix and gave it a better mount to it.

When I have more time off plan on taking it off and sanding the area down for repaint.

Sorry no pics since it happen all of a sudden and didn't have my camera. The bracket that broke did leave a nice hole on the intake pipe itself but it was a clean snap so the two pieces fit back together and weld it back on.
