Hello everyone,
This is my first post and it deals with the fuel pump replacement on a Q45. Let me add that I have done a search and read all the informational articles posted on this board. My Q is a 1999 G model. I removed the trunk liner and exposed the tank and pump. As I look forward and to the left I see a box containing a PCB mounted on the vertical plane. Is this the location of the fuel pump control unit? If so, it has two separate plugs mounted on the top. One is a white color and the other is a darker color. The plug on the left side, colored white, must be the plug that Q45Tech refers to when talking about grounding the fuel pump for temporary activation. The "e" pin. If I read the information correctly I unplug this connector and use a jumper between the corner pin "e" and a suitable ground found on the chassis. this should avtivate the fuel pump and start the car, if the problem is the control unit.
Thanks,Fran
