1983 280zxt. I bought the car about a month ago and the guy told me that it might need a fuel pump soon due to the fact it wouldn't rev over 4k. I did some searching and seen that the TPS could be the problem so I disconnected it and the problem went away, bad TPS. This past Friday I finally get a TPS to replace the old one and on my way home after a stop at the store I'm getting all new problems.

I can give it about 1/4 throttle and it will run fine, past that and it just starts to back fire like crazy and if I go past maybe 3/4 throttle I get nothing except a back fire every couple seconds. So I'm thinking that maybe the guy was kinda right and it does need a new fuel pump. Anything else I should check before I go spending money on a new Walbro?

Well I gave the AFM a little bit of a cleaning and it's running better. Not as good as it has been though.
