Hi all,

Wondering if the fuel check valve is built into the fuel pump? I am going to replace the fuel pump, but am wondering if the check valve is it's own item.

Also, can I replace the fuel pump from under the back seat access panel? I don't want to handle the whole fuel tank itself.

I am having hard starting issues.

Thanks

Heeter

Have you verified the Check Valve is defective? Hard starting issue can be due to multitude of reasons. Have you checked the Fuel Filter? Is the CEL on?

The fuel pump can be replaced from the backseat access. You have to replace the gasket/o-ring any time you open the access to the tank. Refer to the attached, page FE-3

Hi Loystock,

Yes, I did check, the problem is losing pressure from the fuel filter to the tank. I am just wondering if the check valve is built into the pump, so I don't miss ordering anything.

The CEL is on already from other EGR problems, so it is not helping my diagnosis.

Thanks
