Hi,
I have been reading many articles on fuel pressure gauges and regulators. Seems like they are mostly junk. Does anyone have one that they have been using for a long time that is accurate and doesn't leak? I will be needing it for a Weber install.

Thanks.

I built one using a brass tee, some barbs and a Summit Racing gauge. I used pipe dope instead of the teflon tape. It's been on for a couple of months now with no leaks.

OK, I'm curious now. Why do you need a gauge or regulator? Does a Weber require a specific pressure range in order to operate correctly?

From what I have read a Weber requires 2.5 to 4 psi. I think I will start with just a gauge. I hope to get lucky and not need the regulator.

Oh, and thank you Reverend for the pics!

Yep. 3.5 psi max on a Weber. Note it!

crap... I added a pressure gauge today (Spectre). 5.5 to 6 psi with just the pump on and not the truck. (coils off right now).

Off to TRY to find a descent regulator...

Reverend, where did you score that air cleaner? I've thought about a weber but didn't like my options for air cleaners. I was considering a Holley. Does it have a warm air intake for cold weather?

TD, mine is not a Datsun, it's 95 Hardbody. I just like chilling with the Datsun truck guys and BSing. You might be able to adapt the cover to work on yours but bear in mind it's held on with two wing nuts, not just one.

dually are your return lines hooked up? if not hook them up it might drop the pressure down to spec. If you can avoid using a regulator do so. Most of em are crap and it puts extra strain on the pump. i'd try running a decoupled loop before I used a regulator.
