My local Tires Plus service station offers "Fuel Induction Service" which I'm told is a pressurized service which apparently cleans intake valve and combustion chamber deposits. The cost is $60. My 1994 Q45 has 120,000 miles and has a slight hesitation at lower rpm's. I'm bringing the car in for annual inspection and I thought I would have this done. Does anybody have any experience with this - either postive or negative?

Thanks.

Sounds like a pressurized fuel rail flush.... Which is good for cleaning injectores, too!!

I dont know if youll notice a major difference but its something I would have done nonetheless.....

Yeah, just make sure it is a rail flush though and not any kind of engine flush. Certain engine flushes can be too harsh for older engines.

I can think of two types of "flushes" this could be - a fogging of the intake passages (via the throttle body) or the injector flush. Either one could be a good thing if done properly, but I'd sure want to know what they're doing before paying for it.

In either case, make sure the flush is followed up with some agressive "blow the doors off" driving to clear out any of the deposits that end up on the piston crowns. See, some of the advice here can be fun! :D
