This has been sitting in my garage for a while now. It needs a good sanding down and a re-paint.

yeah its real. This is the oldschool nismo logo. If you look closely at the mounts of it Nismo is also cast into the metal there.

If you ever have seen original nismo JTC wheels, it uses the same logo (if you havent I got some pictures i could post as i own the wheels). Remember this is from the late 80s early 90s. I am guessing somewhere in the early 90s they went through a logo change.

can i get a 3rd party confirmation on this?

heres a picture posted by rico05 a while ago (found in archives). Its got the same style logo.

Not only is that thing real. But it may even be as rare or more rare than my RSR ca strut bar. Someone should buy that cuz you'll never get the chance again. On another note my old school 16" Nismo wheels have that same logo. its the older logo.

Yes, I in fact and front AND rear Nismo STBs. I know, I pwn.

But I paid about $400 shipped for them from Japan. So gobble this up kiddos!! I am just a damn Nismo whore, so that kind of money was well spent for the old school OEM cred.

And as for repaint, Duplicolor makes a wheel paint that is 99% accurate to the original. Right down to the flake. Just be careful: It goes on VERY thick.
