Front tire just now starts rubbing the spring. What?

My front left tire rubs on the spring. It's never done this before. I could smell the burning rubber and when I took the tire off there was rubber crap everywhere, a nice groove in my tire where it rubbed, and the paint was rubbed off the springs. Nothing looked messed up. I took off the front control arm and it was fine. Assembled it back together, filled the tire up to 35psi and it still rubs.

I have Tein coilovers. I've driven the car maybe 6000 miles before this happened.

Why would it suddenly start rubbing?

Wheel bearing or ball joint ...Jack it up and do a shake down.
