Last week I noticed that the bumper was a little shifted around the passenger side headlight. So went in today for an oil change and asked them to look at it. They come back and say they can't find the problem and to take off the bumper would not be covered by warranty, would cost between 100-150 bucks, and would take a few hours. I turned down the opportunity,
Later today I did a much more thorough investigation. I think I found the problem. It seems that the connection between the bumper panel and the panel that comes before the door has been broken. Just a small metal piece is broken and there is just a slight separation between the two panels.
Anyone on here have this problem before? Should it be covered by the warranty? Anyone think I can drive half across the U.S. before getting it fixed?
I will go to the dealership again tomorrow and have them look at it with me pointing out exactly what the issue is but I wanted to get some feedback here as well.
P.S. another weird thing, a few months back its seems like little small soft gray rectangular pieces of material, the length of a quarter fell out from underneath my dash. Does that make any sense to anyone?
