It's a shame they haven't figured out how to do upgrades without shutting things down. Maybe money is tight over there...

Bigger is not always better, Micah. I personally prefer a smaller handful to ones that will be sagging to the floor 40 years from now...

I still wanna meet Liz in person and see where things go

I personally like women I can throw around a bit. Liz, don't let these male pigs tell you you need to gain weight, I like you just the way you are.

So Jason.
We kept having issues with malicious code entering our system and using to to send spam emails ( at least according to the people hosting us I never got a single spam email myself..)
They would shut off our server just like you see now.

Every time it would happen it took major effort on my part to address.
I did not have the skill to immunize us and had zero IT support of any kind.

I am currently a deployed security contractor and have no time (energy really) to put into it.

So I ceased the attempts put up a good bye message and my server people shut us down an hour later.
I doubt the few members we still had saw it..
We were down to a small group of good friends..

But I simply couldnt carry it anymore by myself and the number of people benefiting was simply too small.

I predict what traffic we had will come over here.

Unfortunate.

FA was a worthy adversary and a great resource for years.

Who owns the URL, Fred?

Oh wow. Didn't know. When did it go down? I guess the only sad thing is all the content that was on there can't be accessed? It was a great great resource and you did a nice job over the years and are a cool guy.

Thank you.. but i could never overcome the lack of technical support however.
I remember we had phase of huge activities and jumped 20,000 alexa ranks in 3 months but then had multiple long outages because owners hired an incompetent admin didnt even tell me, that vandalized the home page with low quality articles and that detroyed all those gains (and then some)
