The only beyotches in my Q is my wife and 7 year old daughter... and frankly, they aren't in the car very often. Besides... I don't think my "wind" would come as a real shocker to either of them.

It's amazing how long a tread on airfresheners has lasted!

Here you go... and I got a pleasant reward for taking the pic... I thought the cover has been taken off on Q2, but it wasn't... now she smells all good inside!

Here's what it looks like:

I posted pics of it last year. Searching is quicker than a two-week wait.

Well dammit, my Q doesnt have that cover. I always thought it looked to be missing something, I assume some goon knocked the cover with his feet and must of cracked it in the past, then removed it

Or some stinky person stole it.

So imnow looking for one, does Joe carry this kinda part?

I remember this in my 92 - just checked my 94 and it has a blanking plate instead of the air freshener. I'll have to call joe!

The freshener comes with a plastic cover, so with it on it could appear smooth... I removed it today before I took the pictures.

Some have suggested putting a couple drops of cologne on it to "refresh"

Has anyone or does anyone replace the stock air freshner in the Q45?

I just found out the other day the G50 has a air freshener built into the seat. I was just browsing threw the owners book when I saw that. Maybe we could fit some kind of other air freshener in there. Like something you would buy at autozone or walmart.

I still haven't bought the air freshner lol. I actually have that on my parts-to-buy list. I know Wes and Ross (ceningolmo) have one.

Part Number is: 96580-60U10- CASE ASSY- FRANGRANCE

the actually "spongy" air freshner in the air freshener box in the driver seat has a tendency to become hard after all these years, if this happened you could just cut a dense sponge to size. what i did was buy the liquid air freshener from an auto-zone and soaked the sponge overnight in it. doesn't make a world of difference, but a little. good luck

My stock air freshener still had the plastic cover on it. I asked my neighbor, who had bought the car new, about the air freshener and she had to crawl in see it. It seems to still have some scent after all these years.

Do the stock ones come in different fragrances?

I finally found an un-used/un opened stock fragrance unit! Just emailed a replication company about making an oil to soak the original sponge in!

Are there any OG's still alive. Lol. Necro Bump :woot: :woot: :woot: :)

So you'll have them reproduce the scent? Thats something I was wondering about as I really like the smell of the unit. I was going to get some off of amayama whenever I ordered something larger to cut back on shipping. Please keep us posted I for one am VERY interested

Yes, reproducing in an oil that the original sponge can be soaked in. Thats the plan anyway. No response yet from the company I reached out to, but it was only yesterday.

Are they available from amayama? Everything i try to order from them always gets refunded. Granted, im always looking for random stuff, but they never have stuff as discontinued.
