The junker vert has been pretty well stripped on the interior and half of the drivetrain is gone, but still has most of the parts related to the top and the quarter windows. Which vert parts are impossible to find? I'd imagine I should pull the compressor for the top, the quarter windows, and any weatherstripping that's in decent shape.

Also, is it possible to get the quarter window assemblies out if there is no power to put them up/down?

Thanks guys..

Strip anything off it that looks useful. Then when you get home you can decide what you need and don't need. If you have something you don't need, just sell it or give it away.

the weatherstrip above the windows, rear window guides and glass, boot are common things people are looking for.

Me and my gf live in a 580 sq ft condo, so that's a no go unless they pay me in advance and promise to pick it up within 1 week. Also, I have no idea how hard it is to get the entire thing off...

i think AZHitman is still looking for the black molding that goes around the rear quarter panels and deck lid.

also, could you see how much they would want for the rear seatbelts?

I'll try and grab the molding if it's on there.

Sorry, the rear vert seatbelts are going into my car if they're still on the junker. I broke my stock door panels this weekend doing a speaker upgrade, so I need to do the vert door mod. I can probably get other belts off of non-vert S13 or another car for $5 each if you can make use of those.

See if you can grab me some door panels in good condition (highly doubt it) and the metal nut/plastic piece at the base of the antenna. Much thanks if you find the second part.

I noticed the door panels are gone from the junky vert, but you're welcome to my "OK shape" door panels for free if/once I do the door pillar mod.

I'll see about the antenna piece. I might be able to give you the one off of my car if I don't need it (doing the S2000-style antenna mod).

I'm heading back to the junkyard today to get what I can from the car.

Sadly, the vert I was talking about went to the crusher. I did find another vert, but most of the car was gone.

I got the quarter window motors and regulators. I did not get the quarter windows - glass and weatherstripping was excellent, but one of the plastic pieces that goes in the channel was 1/2 broken on the passenger side and 1/4 broken on the driver's side. I can go back and get the windows, but I wasn't sure if the glass and weatherstripping were very hard to come by.

Also got the rear seat belts for my door pillar mod and the power window inserts (no switches). It was a stroke of luck finding the inserts - I needed them and they were just laying in the interior.

There was no antenna, and the trim that goes around the exterior of the top was missing the back piece. The two side pieces were in excellent condition. I can go back and get these, too. Only other things of note were the passenger side tweed seat in very good condition and the door power window assemblies and glass were still there.

Hmm, after reading a bit, it seems like the plastic piece that matters is the backmost one, and I think those are intact on both windows. The "H" shaped plastic pieces are the ones that are broken. I might go back and get the windows tomorrow.

Grab it all, man - I'm sure someone here will store it for another member.

See if you can get the VIN from it too - THat's one more we can add to the dBase as "crushed".

I got the windows (and two Wiis and a PS3 on the way home :D ), but there really wasn't much else left in the car besides the AT.

It used to be a nice black vert with 78k miles on it when it was totaled. No VIN; someone took that when they grabbed the dash.

R.I.P. to the the two verts. Now I know to grab the parts and get the VIN when I see them - I'm not sure why they crushed the more complete vert and left the almost empty one.

Poor verts .

The VIN can also be obtained from the firewall toward the passenger side of the engine bay.

Cool, good to know. I think it may also be on the door jamb sticker (?), but I wasn't dressed for the cold, so I wasn't thinking straight - more concerned with trying to get in and out of there quickly.

if you can find one cheap you may want to grab the header bar for the vert (the metal piece with the latches that attaches the soft top to the top of the windshield frame)...It will be harder to get surplus pieces like that as more verts are killed and crushed and I have a feeling that it may be a part some forum members will need or want in the future.

The semi-complete vert with the top was already crushed. Otherwise, I would have seen what I could have done.

The other one I found was missing nearly everything - nothing related to the top was on the car except the exterior side trim pieces.

If I find another vert, I'll be sure to strip it of any vert-specific parts that are complete and useful. I'm still boggling about them crushing the good vert and leaving the stripped one. Maybe they do it by time in the yard rather than by how stripped the car is.

I was at the yard and made a list of things to pull that day and last on the list was the header bar on a white vert, and while I was literally 5 feet away from it walking towards it with tools the payloader with the forklift on the front drove over, smashed it with the fork lift, and I was like "AHHH NOOO" and then they loaded it into the crusher with a few other cars and squished it.

After the guy had smashed it with the forklift another worker heard my yelling and asked if I wanted the car back down but they had already destroyed the header bar so I was like ****... no....

I think the A pillar panels may have been lying in the trunk half submerged in slimy water.(The plastic trim bits on the car were strewn all over the place).

I might be able to pick them up a week from now. No guarantees on the car still being there or my schedule working out to get out there, though. I wish you would have posted yesterday, as I was out there today trying to get the rotors off a Q45 (no luck )

Are the vert A pillar panels unique to the vert?

You can make the coupe and hatch ones fit, but they have the slot for the automatic seatbels instead of the solid design.

Loki, I have the nut and plastic part from the antenna off my car (I put on an aftermarket antenna today). The nut is in pretty good shape, but the plastic part got pretty chewed up because I didn't have the proper tool to get the antenna out. It's probably salvageable via sandpaper and paint.

If you want me to mail these items to you, just let me know.

Still need this? Today I got both A pillar panels for you, passenger seat belt receptacle for someone else, and mirror with map lights for my vert.
