So would this work for the coupe too then? takin the mirrors from the A/C 3.5 and puttin em on the 2.5? Ive been wanting to do this for a while now but i wanted to make sure it would be a plug-n-play before i got em.

And two quick questions... did you have to do anything with the mirror itself, like the actual piece of glass, or did it come with the new mirror?

And where did you get the part numbers from? i cant find em for the coupe.

I am sure that this is plug and play. when you buy the the mirror assembly it comes with the mirror and everything. you just need to get a cover with it. so totally 4 parts. I am not sure it also works on the coupe.

i got them from someone else's post on another forum...but if you just go on Nissan Parts Online's website, everything should be there that you need.

yeah i found the parts on the website, i was looking for the part numbers tho. i know a guy that can get parts for cost + 10% and he was gonna let me know how much today. but i just told him which parts i wanted which should be just as good. Although i did find a site that has the mirror assy for like $163 each so i might get it through them if he cant get em any cheaper.

well the site has the coupe mirror assy's listed for $152 each and the covers listed at $14 each. doesnt make sense that the coupe mirrors would be more expensive than the sedan mirrors.....same thing, just a diifferent triangle shape of plastic that sits against the outside of the door.

the site is http://www.trademotion.com/par...14459

Cool thanks, yeah the cheapest place i could find online was for $163 for the assy's. And it makes sense if you look at it from a marketing POV.... A/C is newer and has less need for replacement OEM parts, therfore higher prices lol which of course is but what can ya do?

Ok so this really blows... i just checked the harness in my a/c and it only has 3 wires in it. so i would have to rewire the entire thing if i wanted to swap em out.

that sucks dude

got my mirrors in this morning....they must over night their shipments, because i just got the tracking info yesterday saying that DHL picked up the package at 4pm and i got them around 930am this morning!!!! anyways....here are the pics....the color doesnt match the Super Black as well as i would have liked because theyre more of a dark grey color, but it will do.....

btw everything worked perfectly.....i have a 2008 2.5 fully loaded.....so i assume that all the fully loaded 2.5's will work with these

Sorry man for the late reply - yea I got them from the links posted on the first page of this topic. I got them next day after they shipped them...really fast. They were a piece of cake to install - however i did have the covers painted by a good body shop guy who rebuilt my 2006 Volks Jetta after I was hit by a Ford Explorer.

You can probably get your covers painted for 40 bucks - it does make a difference

haha....yea i finally pulled the trigger on some new ones. na i dont plan on getting them painted any time soon....theyre close enough to Super BLack where my parents didnt even notice that theyre a different color. ill probably get them painted when i have something else to get painted....i just dont feel like making a special trip to the paint shop to get them painted, when its not a big deal for me to have them painted.

i dont plan on selling my old mirrors....$80, in my mind, is not enough $$ for me to post them on ebay, deal with trying to sell them, and making a trip to the post office. plus i want to keep them, just as a backups.

I'm with Mark...

By the way - does anyone know how the heated part of the mirror works?

i can't tell if the covers were painted or not from the pictures. I don't think anyone will notice unless you really pay attention to it. only the thing is that those covers are dull and don't have the shine. yeah keeping the mirrors for spare is ok, but you'll probably never use those again, so it's a waste laying there for nothing IMO.
