I've been working towards a balance of decent power (275rwhp is my goal) and great throttle response. The 12+ft of piping (includes intercooler) that a typical FMIC intercooler setup just doesn't cut it. Plus their piping sizes are wwwaaayyyy bigger than what are necessary for my goals.
The current piping length is down to about 6ft total (includes the intercooler). I also went down to 2.5" on the cold side, and I just ordered all the stuff I need for 2" on the hot side. Currently I'm running 2.5" hotside and coldside.
I'll be upgrading to an S15 Spec R T28 soon as well. That in combination with my high compression and standalone should make this quite the performer, with quick spool and decent power band. I'm still planning on cams as well. They should compliment my slight tendency for higher RPMS that my new rear end gearing will cause.
