float pivot pin

carb float pivot pin (worn grooves)......how to repair??? what do you think....i may try to remove carb disassemble/flush with water......propane torch to remove pin...put back in backwards so two grooves in different spot so float does not hang up.

or new hardened pin (where get that size rod to cut/fit???)

Also old style needle valve (521-620) may work better in my old 1986 720 carburetor?

I wonder if that is something Nissan might still stock at one of its warehouses. I'd start at the dealer to at least get a part number or see if it is available separate from the carb assembly.
