when I bought my 96' the only real complaint i had about it was that the trunk was kinda messed up. The spare is missing and board that lines the bottom is saging way down into the gap, all the carpeting is there but about half of it is not attached and even the parts that are attached seem pretty flimsy. I was wondering if anyone else had ever tried to make the interior of the trunk a little more sturdy, any advice is appreciated.

Re-upholster it with some material from an interior decorating store.I'm not sure what you'd use to secure it though... maybe rubber cement???

I had the same problem. Just get some dark gray carpet form a carpet store, cut it to shape and put it in the place of the old carpet. You can use the stock fasteners, or if they are missing / broken , you can get new ones from lowes or some other hard ware store. As far as the board accross the bottom, cut a thin light piece of wood, or do what i did and use MDF and create your own speaker enclosure instead!

my trunk used to be gutted in the back...take some cardboard and make a template of ur trunk...make a false floor. if u don't know how, someone who woodworks should be really good at it. its pretty easy if you ask me....
