lol power FC maf based. tuned using datalogit.

injector set at 80% , .43 lag with precision 880's.
i think the tuner modified just the inj map, and left the base map.
from the commander, if i go into the inj map, the first 5x5 area or maybe a little more, is set to .50

Long story but the person that made it for me as a gift decided he wanted money for it afterwards, which i did not think was a fair price, so i returned it to him.

Thanks guys :)

Looking good John! I can't watch the video since I'm at work right now, but I can't wait to hear that wastegate going :naughty: Any more boost since last time? Also, got any upskirt photos of the manifold redisign?

- S15 Spec-R helical LSD & ouput shafts
- Poly subframe & diff bushings
- Z32 rear calipers, rotors, pads, SS lines, ebrake delete
- SS braided power steering feed & return, custom PS reservoir.
- 4" turbo intake with -10AN fitting for catch can
- Synapse boost connect kit.
- Braided -10 oil drain on turbo
- Redesigned mani (pictures attached) port matched, widened WG openings.
- Eliminated about one foot of cold side intercooler piping.
- Adapted S13 aluminum coolant tank to S14 with custom brackets
- Coolant expansion tank lines - high temp pneumatic fittings
- Heat wrap downpipe and manifold

(i'll post the pics in the morning, they're loading too slow and its late).

The BMC Definitely needs to be upgraded. The front to rear bias is out of wack too.

This is more for Chris (CJMartz2k) but does anyone know what boost levels i should be aiming for with this super HX40? Its a 7 blade 60mm inducer with a .84 a/r. Im trying to maintain a stable 15psi which is still not being cooperative. It likes to climb past even with two 40mm gates.

This neo bottom end is stock, besides ARP head studs and an N1 pump. Is 15psig appropriate? Should i be making more? Also, if anyone has a power FC timing map for their RB25 they'd like to share, please do. just curious as to what power you're making with how much timing.

Thanks! later guys.

What size exhaust housing is that? 19cm T4? I know you told me and i think you said 19cm, but it's been a while. It just looked a little smaller than that in the pics. Anywho, I'd go for no less than 1.5 bar (22 psi'ish I believe.) That turbo doesn't do so great at low boost. The difference between 1 bar and 1.7 bar was HUGE for me--like 100hp or more huge. I think 1.7 bar was what I drove around daily boosting and it was "fun" :naughty: I have run it around 1.9 bar on occassion when I was getting ready to leave japan, but I think my motor was half blown and it would hold the boost on the top end anyways. That kick in the pants lower in the RPMs was noticable for sure though (1.7 vs 1.9) but i was having big time traction issues anyways, and that just exacerbated them.

WOW! Thats a good bit more boost than i'm running now. It would probably be a MONSTER with 22 psi. :o I need to have the timing adjusted a bit before i turn the boost up. probably need a bit more fuel up top too. This makes me smile and now im motivated to get this thing REALLY cranking out some power. Chris, this is all safe on the stock motor? Tomei poncam 260 duration 9.15 lift, ARP headstuds, OEM headgasket.

Just making sure, dont want to blow this ISH up. woot.

Also, my timing map has around 14 degrees in it when im full sing at 15 psi. Safe timing for 22 psi? Knock reading has a max value of like 18 on the scale on a 3rd gear pull. Wonder how the Z32 maf will like 22psi. :P

here's a map trace of 3rd gear up to about 6500 rpm. showing the load.

Obviously I can never guarantee somebody's set up isn't going to blow up, and that's even harder to say not knowing the tune/tuner. I will say mine was a bone stock bottom end (tomei head gasket though just because I had my head cut and I had to compensate for thickness a bit.) If I had your exact set up though, I wouldn't worry the least little bit with cranking the boost up around 1.5 bar. Also, you said you are doing blow through on a stock Z32 MAF, right? That's going to limit you to around 500rwhp at the most I think, which is going to be real close to that amount of boost. MAF type cars should compensate for more boost, but that big of a jump, I would retune at that boost level, not before it.

About the timing, I'm not sure, Stec Scott always tuned mine, but I do know the AFR's were always in the high 11's and I think I remember seeing timing figures around 33 degrees? Not sure on the timing, and I don't know if that's total timing or what. He was pretty aggressive with the tune. Basically he would tune while I drove, and after he got the fuel pretty much done with very little timing, he would keep adding timing, then more boost, then timing, then more boost, then more timing, until it knocked. He would just smack my hand when he would see any noticeable knock and I would get out of it quickly. Backed it off a few degress, beat the hell out of it some more looking for knock, and that was it for WOT tuning. There is a lot more to it of course, but from my driving layman's perspective, that's what I saw.

What are your max MAF voltages right now?

About knock figures also, everybody is a little different, but just normal tooling around town, I would knock high teens, low 20's, so I wouldn't even give it a second look until it got into the 30s. If it did that a few times, I would watch is closely, or pull a degree or two out across the board for safety. If I hit 40's-50's, I'd call it a night and see what was going on later with the wideband and laptop hooked up (well, Scott would anyways.) I'm not saying it didn't occasionally hit 40 or 50 and never hiccup the rest of the night after more continued abuse, but if it was more than just one reading of otherwise smooth sailing for several "sessions", I quit. Also, don't worry TOO much about knock readings. I've had tools bouncing around in the trunk set off my check engine warning just around town driving with readings in the 90's :ohno:

It's not a cover , its a complete dry carbon dash replacement. Its made by Pride motorsports. I actually sell these if you are interested.
