set the lag time to what the injectors call for, dont do any 'mucking about' with math formulas and crap.
then you need to scale the injector correction till it idles at what you've set it at in the map...typically its around 14.5:1 afr on the pfc.
you can use the apex formula to get you in the ballpark area for the injector correction, dont follow it to the t tho as it is more of a reccomendation...scale it till the WHOLE map reads right, you'll know when you have.
helps to have the actual software but very doable on the controller.

Carl, i need to know more about all this. I think i need more enlightenment on the inj settings and getting the A/F ratio calculations. i thought you took the Old SIZE / New Size = Correction factor. so i shoulnt use this formula, and just scale it until it idles correctly? or actually change the inj map in the lower blocks?

I talked to Scott and he said my old tune, even if he can find it, wouldn't help you since I had the Z32 MAF chopped up and put into 100mm pipe. Do you still need the injector specs?

Help setting base fuel pressure... ive read 3 bar / 14.5 * 3 = 43.5
psi without vac connection? then it drops down to like 36 at vac. Is this true regardless of injector size?

also, what vac is the car supposed to be pulling at ~650-700 rpm anyways? im at like -10 on my AEM truboost gauge.
thanks guys.

the car is going to be trailered to NY to Enzo to be tuned, trying to get the kinks worked out. still have a leak in my downpipe and have to get that fixed tomorrow.

Yeah 43.5 with no vac

At idle I'm pulling about 18 inches of mercury

Oh yeah, Enzo's getting big.
Even down in FL I keep on hearing his name come up.
He's good.

If you have an air compressor, run a boost leak check. I didn't torque down my boost gauge connection until I boost leaked my motor so that I didn't pinch the line. My idle vac went from 14ish to 18ish when I re-torqued it until it didn't leak.

Im still on schedule to be in NY on fri, have NEW downpipe fabricated, tune all day sat, drive back on sunday

I was having a hard time identifying the flange on my holset turbo. its called a full marmon flange, similar to a half marmon (v-band) but has an angled lip on the inside of the flange.

http://www.ht-archive.com/showthread.php?t=2735264

I need to find this flange locally. not enought time to ship

Anyone ever have problems with dipstick reading WAY higher than it should when using AWD block (rb26 or AWD rb25) and a RB25 dipstick tube and dipstick?

Whats the norm when using RB26 with RB25 pan? do you use the 26 dipstick or 25? the pan height is different and placement of dipstick may be different between the blocks. ugh.

I got my oil changed, put 10w-30 RD30 AMSOIL in her, got my idle problem figured out, the power steering pressure switch was unplugged, thought it wouldnt matter, now its steadily idling .

Tomorrow night im leaving for NY to get her tuned :) Wish me luck.

I beleive that issue with the car breaking up may have been the injectors maxing out. So im thinking that im somewhere near 340whp at 10psi but no dyno numbers...

I checked my vaccuum again this week end and im seeing 15 at idle which is 700-850rpms..

He posted vids and numbers on Facebook...but it appears all of that has been taken down now...iirc he went with a nice conservative tune and got just over 450 on less then 20psi...but he will have to post the true #'s

Hmm, not bad. Crank up the boost, add a dash of timing, let simmer for 20-30 seconds and voila! 500rwhp :-) JOHN!! QUIT TEASING US!! :-P

Haha I've seen your ad on Craigslist about these parts while searching for 240's. Too bad I don't have money or I'd try and grab the RB25 block from you. :/
