Well, I finally was able to get on a track that was more than Auto-X. Definitely had some fun, but I definitely have a lot to learn still! Engine held up awesome, brake pads not so much (Hawk HP+). I overheated the crap out of them in the beginning, so I had to keep braking early to not heat them too much on the main straight, which killed some time for sure. The Dunlops did surprisingly well all considering, definitely no R-Comp though, lol. Can't wait to get back out there next month!

Let me know what you think, definitely noob status here!

As a noob, I think you did quite well. The stock 240sx brakes are okay even with upgraded pads, but the pads won't last long. I used to take my old S13 to the track, with stock internals and the pads lasted at most 2 days. you have more power, so I think that bigger brakes should be your next investment before R rated rubber.

Thanks!

I am actually running Wilwood Superlites (4 piston) with 12.2" dia 1.25" THK rotors (2 piece), lol. The pads are crap though. I want to try the new DTC-50 pads on them next, just waiting for them to come out. The compound's graph looks pretty impressive:
