So I'm about to assemble the bottom end of my 94 n/a vg30de. Anyone have any tips or things I really should replace? For the record, I have had the block at the machine shop and everything is honed and decked to the nines. They purchased the rings and bearings and cleaned the Pistons and assembled the rods/Pistons/pins. I definitely intend on replacing the oil pump, but I'm wondering about the oil squirters. Should I replace them or can I clean them or is no further action recommended? Thanks for any and all input and advice. Oh and no I don't want to go TT. Thanks.

Oil squirters I would just hot tank them and install new seals. What brand rings and bearings did they purchase? If you are not sure or anything other than OEM, I would get OEM, period on the internal engine stuff.

WHen assmbling, use assembly lube for the bearings. Rings, make sure the opening do not match the other opening. Stagger them, otherwise the will create a low compression issues.
