I finally brought the SR to the track today for the first time. Keep in mind that I have never, ever raced at a drag strip, in any car, let alone my 240. And this is at 7 psi with 205/55R16 Ecstas at 48psi

R/T: .50260': 2.3881/4: 14.735MPH: 96.15

I got one-upped by my buddy who has almost the same setup, just at 14psi and on 245 Nitto 555R's, who went 13.429 @ 101.05.

I had an awesome start, and after that, everything just went to crap, I kept dropping my RPM's off the line and missing shifts after that.

All in all, a good day.

Nice job Buud!

I've got to get mine out to the track this spring.

I would think that you would be doing better than high 14's though... SR + big FMIC + 3" exhaust usually tends to pull better than that. Is it stoock with the exception of the intercooler and exhaust?

Some better tires and good shifting should get you some better results.... keep us posted.

i've only had 2 runs before the tracks closed. my first reaction time was 1.2 so ur doing pretty good there. do u have a boost controller? with ur front mount and exhuast (hopefully fuel pump) u could crank it up like ur friend, right? i cant wait till i get my swap done once daunt gets his second shipment in.

48psi? that seems a bit high for tire pressure on the strip. if you were autoxing that would be prime but you might want to run lower tire pressure for drag racing (should improve traction).

you might try running 30-32 psi on street tires.

BTW nice reaction time on that run

Day Two:Best Run:

R/T: .56560': 2.3891/4: 14.496MPH: 97.56

Shaved .25 seconds off my time from yesterday, I'm really happy with how the SR performed. I think if I had some good drag radials in the back, I would have gone 14.2ish, but oh well. That time was against a bone stock WRX and I beat him by .2098 seconds, hehe.

The competition was bracket comp, and I made it to the second of three rounds. I lost when I broke out against a Civic. I can't believe how badly I messed up, I have a handful of .5xx R/T's all day long, and I go .339 on the second round of eliminations. And of course, it was against a 5th gen coupe with a B18C, even though I whooped him down the line. Brackets for you eh?

maine-I would be running better. This is the Vegas track, higher altitude, desert. I would probably touch 13's on good tires and at a lower elevation, but oh well.jezter-not yet, I'll hit the dyno when I have extra money that I don't know what to do with. Which will probably not be soon.structure-I have a fuel pump, I have all the supporting mods to up the boost, but I'm not ready for more boost, as a driver, yet.jmillheiser-I forgot to air them down at the beginning of the first day. I lowered them to 25 today, and took 25 hundreths off my old best.

That's all for now, I'm going to go meet up with Nils sometime today or tomorrow when I head for home. Check out his meeeeeaaaaan S14.
