Her insurance pays for it so it shouldnt really matter.

yea but from what i hear from people, the estimate that the insurance has is usually lower than what it takes to fix at the dealership. plus wanna know if its gonna be worth it to just bodykit it or not lol

Insurance normally only covers OEM parts for replacement unless that's what you had on there already. Usually they don't pay you the money if it's getting fixed, everything will be delt with through the repair shop/dealer.

Are they doing a pay out and you're fixing it yourself, or paying a shop to do it? I know insurance companies work different in the US compared to Canada as well so this may be normal...

OEM bumper replacement and paint is about 750 bucks CND, I priced mine when someone hit me and scuffed it. That was the cheapest quote I could find at the time.

they actually asked me if i wanted them to write me the check or write it to the shop. i told them to me cause i didnt know how much it would take and like i said i heard it usually costs more than what the insurance adjusters estimates. as for the oem thing, yes the body is stock. thanks for the estimate for the bumper and paint

Either way, its her insurance paying for it so whatever the easiest solution is for you.

OEM rear bumper buying it straight out of somewhere... or maybe just out of a body shop alone is 300 dollars

good thing no one was hurt. i got rear ended too about a year ago and i got 3 estimates and the cost for the bumper and the shop to paint it and install it was about 1000. when the shop printed out the list for the cost of what everything was going to be, i remember seeing the bumper and it was around 600.

went to the collision center just now and saw a diff a/c completly wrecked in the front. wheels were bent inward, radiator was off the car, hood was bent in half, etc. kills me to see another coupe damaged. gonna take about 7 days to fix my car.
