GQ... I did use the blue RTV When I removed the filler neck, the old one was much heavier and seemed to contain more brass/copper. The new neck is light and strictly aluminum.GQ Jay wrote: Derw, i'm curious to know how you do your hangars. it's cake when you lift up the trans with the rear mount loose, but i couldn't do it without raising the trans.
i hope you use the light blue rtv on the filler neck to preserve that 'factory' appearance.
Pretty discreet modification to get better acceleration.DrewQ45 wrote: When I removed the filler neck, the old one was much heavier and seemed to contain more brass/copper. The new neck is light and strictly aluminum.
I changed the hangers last night but I also had to do the transmission mount so that made the job much easier. I used an old scissor jack to support the transmission and you are right, I had to leave the trannyt mount very loose in order to be able to get the hangers situation over the 4 studs (each). Even if I wasn't changing the mount, I think It's still necessary to loosen it so either way you're stuck doing it.GQ Jay wrote: Derw, i'm curious to know how you do your hangars. it's cake when you lift up the trans with the rear mount loose, but i couldn't do it without raising the trans.

Had to wait like two weeks... I'm a bit preturbed with IOS since they could have let me know they held back the package for BG 44K. Haven't been able to drive the Q during most of that time.
Will be installing these bad boys tonight!!!!!
