dude come on, i'd understand if you can't read, but you can't look at pictures either?kyle454 wrote:car looks good man ...make sure you get an exhaust while your at it lol
umm i think its about 10k in the partsWhite Comet wrote:sounds good. out of curiosity do you have an idea of how much you've spent on parts and stuff so far?

wow thats some serious money. i just added up my engine stuff and i'll be at like $2500 for 400hp not including the sr motor itselfbrn-n-jpn wrote:

well the Full-Race turbo setup with the apexi downpipe and exhaust was 5k alonebut hey quality parts so you only have to do it once is the way i look at itWhite Comet wrote:wow thats some serious money. i just added up my engine stuff and i'll be at like $2500 for 400hp not including the sr motor itself
its really there R&D your paying for... no one out there makes a manifold like that.White Comet wrote:while i do believe in qaulity parts of course, full race just seems a little silly to me. you pay out the a** for some of the piping alone.
my point exactly... don't get me wrong i love fabricating my own stuff but there are certain things that i would rather buy when it comes down to how long i can keep those high hp goalsKalypso wrote:^ sounds good.

and it comes with a lifetime warranty iirc
it wont break... and of course.... its twin scroll.
i'm not denying that full race makes some of the best stuff out there. the manifolds are engineered very well, i just can't justify $1000 + for a manifold, even though its equal length. my log manifold was 1/3 of the cost and i like the fact that a log mani will spool faster.Kalypso wrote:^ sounds good.

it wont break... v2 lets you keep AC....and of course its twin scroll.
expensive as hell fo sho... but on that note.White Comet wrote:i'm not denying that full race makes some of the best stuff out there. the manifolds are engineered very well, i just can't justify $1000 + for a manifold, even though its equal length. my log manifold was 1/3 of the cost and i like the fact that a log mani will spool faster.
the stuff that i think it a bit ridiculous is $350 for a downpipe it doesnt even go back to the cat iirc.
the full turbo kit doesnt seem to be a terrible price, my similar setup of gt30, fmic, tial 38mm wg, manifold and exhaust cobra cost $1500.
i'm not by any means dissing this setup i just think that for some pieces you pay for the name
