Dante, with a mph that high, you will tap low 15's. My mag did 15.104 @ 92.40 so i'm thinking you get your launch dialed in you could get a really decent pass out of it.

yeah the launch was the biggest issue. if i wasnt spinning a one legger off the line, i would bog out if i didn't launch around 4500rpm

So I ordered some drilled and slotted rotors with pads for the front and rear. I recieved them today and decided to just do the front today since the front passenger side was metal to metal. From the beginnimg i ran into problems. First the when I rook all the lug nuts off the driver's side the wheel wouldn't come off. The rust was stuck to the back of the wheel and after pounded it with a hammeer for about 5 min it finally broke loose. Then the next thing was the passenger caliper. Once everything was removed, I put the new rotor on and then the pads. Once i was ready to reinstall the top portion of the caliperl the piston was still out too far. So i tried using my brake compression tool to push the piston back in. After 15 minutes of trying I went over to the driver's side finished the entire side in about 3 minutes and the piston pushed back smoothly. So I tried the passenger side again and the piston would not budge. SEIZED damn. So I took the brake pads out and put the caliper back on left the brake pads out and parked the car. I will work on again later needed a break from it before I would break something trying to make it work

Finished all the brakes and rotors today and replaced the passenger front caliper. Now I just need to bleed the brakes, but I have to wait for one of parents to get home since no speed bleeders  :gotme

Just make sure you put loctite on all those bolts on that gear inside the diff, or you'll have the same result he did.

So today I decide to tackle the Tein S.tech lowering springs. I started at about 11:30 a.m. The fronts took a good bit of time because I couldn't get the struts out, so I compressed the spring while it was still mounted. :tisk:
Image
Image
before springs about 4" gap all the way around :squint:

Unbolted the top nut and wiggle the spring out . Tein spring slipped right in without compressing them.
Image
Front spring comparison
Image
front springs in

Image
Now the fronts have about a 2.5" gap :)

Then I got to the rear springs. They were even worse since I could get the rear struts out either. Getting the spring compressors in the tight space to work properly was a pain.  I ended up unbolting the top on the rear spindle to give me more room to work with. Then I had to pry the spring out which then dropped the top of the strut. Once that was done the Tein springs went in smoothly.

I finished this at 12:00 a.m. what a pain. Would have been so much easier if I could have taken the struts out.
I will take pics later of the new ride height just extremely tired now 12 straight hours for a small satisfaction. :wtf2:

So today I decide to work on the 240 again. The first thing i fixed was the broke wheel stud on the driver's front tire. Then bled the front driver's side brakes. Then proceeded to a oil change with Mobil 1 full synthetic high mileage 10W30. Suprisingly everything went smoothly and only took less than 20 minutes.
Then I decided to start on the H.I.D,s. Now that was a b!t$h. I couldnt find a good place to hide the ballast, then once I got everything in the right place there was a different plug for the HIDs that was suppose to plug into the stock one. So I cut the stock plug off the old headlight and wired it in the HID harness. Plug everything in, turned them on and they worked. BUT for some reason the high beams dont work and they are the dual filament bulbs. :squint: I gave up on a parked it. :inout: :werd:

Now for the new ride height. :woot:

So today I decided to take the 240 out for a lil drive to see how the springs felt. Suprisingly the it was very comfortable and the lower center of gravity was nice. Went to the nissan dealer to pick up the drive gear bolt for the welded and headed to the mall. Came back outside from the mall to go home and when I started the it sounded like a subaru. I was only running on 3 cylinders. So I drove home to figure out is it was spark or fuel. I pulled the car in the garage and left it on. Then I popped the hood and started unplugging the injectors. Cylinder #2 was the only one that didn' cause the idle to drop or almost stall out when unplugged. So I go to take the cap off that holds the injector and one of the screws stripped. So I cut a slot across the top of the screw to use the biggest flathead screwdriver I have and that got the screw out. But I didn't pull the injector yet will get back to it later. I knew I would get frustrated with something. :inout:

So I decided to to put the new drive gear bolt in and torqued it down. Luckily that went in with no problems and now all I need is a diff cover. :woot:

Yesterday I finally got the injector out. I flipped the fuel rail over and tapped the injector with a hammer and it popped right out. :naughty: :tisk: The injector was destroyed from me trying to pry it out.

Then today I went to autozone and picked up the new injector ($83 :bs: ) and a pack of o-rinngs.

The injector went in with no problems.
Plugged the injector in started her up and she purred like a kitten. :naughty:

So the 240 started running crappy again but this time when I unplug injector #2 the car idles better, weird :gotme . So I went out and bought a Z32 TT fuel filter and put that on then I replaced the spark plugs with NGK V-power ones. Put new prostart wires on and and the car runs alot smoother now. :naughty:

Since I was changing out the plugs, I decided to do a compression.

Dont have the picture for cylinder #1 but the gauge did not move and I took it out and put back in to try again but still nothing :wtf2: . When I checked cylinder #2 and pulled the gauge out there was some gas dripping out. My buddy at Autozone told that could be the reason why I didn't get a reading :poke: . But I also didn't have to pay for the compression tester just in case I broke it, which he thinks I did :werd: :slap:

Oh and the car was running like crap again so I pulled the #2 injector and it was the bottom o-ring. It was torn. So I replaced it and lubed the o-rings up put the injector back in and wahlah. Runs better than ever  :yesnod
So I installed my 5 panel wink mirror a couple of days ago. This thing is awesome. I don't even use my regular mirrors anymore. :naughty:

And I recieve my driver's side power window amp today. Took the door panel off, installed the switch and now I have a working power window :inoutgay: . Only if I would have known that was the problem a couple of months ago. :wtf2:

So I finally got around to installing the welded diff. Let me just say installing a diff by yourself only using 2 jack stands and a floor jack sucks.
Went out to HomeDepot and bolt some new hardware.
Image

Started off by unbolting the axle bolts that are attached to the diff.
Image
Image

Then I unbolted the rear sway bar to make it easier to get to the driveshaft bolts.
Image

Onces I finished taking out all the bolts, I used the floor jack to help shimmy the axles out.
Image
Image
Image

Then I used the floor jack again to install the welded but this wasnt as easy. Really sucks doing this alone but I got it installed. It took a little over 5hrs.
Image
Image

Now I just need an empty parking lot to take'm sideways

Well I got bored again and decided to do some patch work on the driver's side floor panel. There was a hole right underneath the gas pedal. Attacked the sounddeadening with a wire wheel. :squint:
Image

Then I took a steel 2" flat bar and cut it into 6" pieces then tacked them into a square.
Image

Then welded the pieces together and tack welded the square to the floor
Image

When I welded the entire way around the sqaure I caught the floor on fire a couple of times because I didnt remove all the sounddeadening. Got a little carried away with the welding.
Image
Image

Once the floor cooled off I sprayed with black truck bed liner.
Image
Image

I know the welds don't look the greatest but I was more worried about strength than aesthetics :inout:
