yup yesturday i went to DRT to get my car tuned. as i originally said, my car was runnign really rich because of the larger injectors that i put in, and that i couldn't figure out how to tune the afc safely to get the thing to run good. so the initial baseline run was a dissapointing 186 at the wheels (around 240 crank hp). well after some tuning, i was actually able to hit a peak of 242 wheel hp ( 295 crank hp) but we could not get that number to come up again no matter how hard we tried. so we suspected that it was from the boost creep from the delta gate and that was creeping up to 10 psi. so we finally decided to settle for 232 wheel hp ( 284 crank hp ) and with a amazing 254 ft lb of torque at the wheels ( 310 ft lb of torque ). anyways thats not bad for a 4 cylinder with a $3000 kit only running 9 psi of boost eh? anyways to explain that dip after full boost, it is becuase as soon as the wastegate sees 9 psi, it bleeds off alittle too much boost, as i was reading hte boost gauge on the dyno it hits 9 psi, then drops to about 7, then goes back up to 8. otehr then that my power curve would've been flat like a plateau.

sorry for the poor quality of the scan. i was using my chairman's personaly comp and scanner. so i didn't want to go too crazy.

edit: nooooooo i can't put the pic up, it won' t let me post up a image bigger then 300X300

Congrats! Those are some good numbers. I look forward to seeing what the power band is like on that. How much the RPM band to expect to use during normal, day to day driving?

they tuned it. the tuning was $250. i had around 23 pulls on the dyno. i guess i would post up the dyno. but i doubt you can see anything from just 300X300 resolution.

yup. before the tuning, the car's turbo would not spool up as smoothly. the lag was definitly there, but when it hit, it hit hard. now after the tuning, the car's turbo spool up is alot more smoother. and the lag is almost gone.

Just curious, have you ever thought of removing that random tech cat? using a test pipe, and then replacing for emissions would get you around 10-15 rwhp I think.give it a shot.

thanks #1 stunna you can private message me your e mail address. and projex240 i remember seeing sport compact car doin a test on high flow cats. and the random tech unit didn't lose any hp compared to their test pipe, and in fact, it gained 2 ft lb of torque. how does that work? i have no clue.

Off topic: how much did that random tech cat run you? did you just use a universal one?

actually SCC did a test on an NA vehicle for the random cat, with a turbo you are probably sacrificing some HP.In fact, SCC said that too.
