hello i searched high and low for a car i have always had trucks so it was a whole other ball game. my wife and i needed a 2nd car good on fuel but was not biased at all to a brand. i looked good and hard at matrix, sx4 ,fit ,mazda3, and the nice but expensive impreza. any way with help from this site and a lot of other nissan fans we bought a white sl hatch cvt. we pick it up on march6.any way i want to buy after market wheels and tires but cant decide on a size. i wished that 17s were a factory option. are 17 s a good size to fill the wheel well or should i look at 18s. i also dont want to look like a homie either, im a white 30 year old dad so i dont need to impress, i just want somthing a bit different than the other versas in town .thanks guys.

I looked and pondered and decided on the 17's versus the 18's with 255/55/17 tires... the 255/45/17 didn't seem to have enough tire to them... the configuration I choose (but have not yet purchased) are approximately 1" more in diameter than the stock size (where the 255/45/17 are practically the same size) but there are many online tire stores which let you view the tires on the actual car (tire rack even lets you pick the specific color of your vehicle).

255/45-17 are about 1.5" larger than 185/65-15

215/45-17 are perfect
