Hey Seamus --When did you start working for Synapse? Is the 240 back up and running again?CA180sx wrote:hello everyone, my name is seamus, i have been a member here for a while and i have searched for just about every ca18det manifold ever made. as we all know the quality on these manifolds is well to say the least.....disgusting. they are absolutely horrible. i am an employee at synapse motorsport, http://www.synapseturbo.com, we specialize in turbo manifolds, downpipes, intercooler/charge pipes, tuning, custom fabrication, engine building, and much more. i just recently brought the idea to my boss and good friend morgans attention that a ca18det manifold would probably be a good idea to make. since i would use my car as a test platform. we decided it would be worth the investment of time if we could sell at least 10 pieces. i thought i would bring it to everyones attention that there is a possibilty of a high quality manifold being available. all i need to make it possible is get a list of at least 10 people who would be seriously interested in purchasing a manifold from us. no prepay nessecary we would just like to know that its not all for nothing. if we can get a list of 10 people together there will also be a group buy pricing special. it would be around the same price as our sr20det top mount manifolds. most likely it will be a V-band style top mount. we will also be offering a vband top mount downpipe. most likely for a vband 30R. more pictures are available on the website but here are a few of the top mount sr20det manifold. and a couple of it installed on a customer car.
thanks alot,SeamusSynapse Motorsport
If Morgan needs another CA to play with he can use my car --that way we can get some real time track feedback on it? Or I can let him use the spare motor to build a jig ( I just spun a main bearing at Calabogie about a week ago --so it will be sitting until Winter --while I use the spare)
As stated --fat chance of getting many people to pony up the $$ -- but for those of you in CA land --Morgan does know his stuff.
