It depends on how the existing Versa exterior performs in a wind tunnel... if I recall correct, the Versa's coefficient is 0.31; the EV 1 was 0.19, Insight 0.24 & the current Toyota Prius is 0.25; the Prius does not utilize skirts.
Skirts only help if the rear wheel obstructs the flow of air - which, depending on how the air reacts to front of the vehicle; might not be very much at all.
The biggest clear drawback for the Versa' aerodynamic performance is its rear - simply tapers off too rapidly & likely creates a larger vacuum than a similarly sized (front area wise) vehicle like a Prius that tapers off gently.
