So I bought this ecu off ebay only to find it does not work as described.

According to the shop who installed for me, the car only have lights on the dash but could not start up, there is no cranking or fuel supply.

Then they put the stock ecu back in, everything works again.

Just a headsup for those who is considering buying parts from this seller, I'm writing a dispute to file the claim.

you don't know if the shop did something (swapped the internal or short something)

the guy said tested, it is likely that the seller as access to a local junk yard in japan, testing is REALLY REALLY easy for him

in addition to that, just look at his feedbacks. It would appear that he sold at least 335 parts on ebay and only 1 had a problem. based on his rating, I would definately buy something from him

you shouldn't bad mouth the seller so quickly, the fault could be your own and the seller obviously didn't try to trick you

blitz usa is located in CA, USA. I would give them a call

but before doing that, have you contacted the seller? let them know it's DOA, see how they respond. I am guessing you did a paypal payment, give the seller a few days to clear this up with you and if it fails, do a dispute via paypal

if you are going to do a paypal dispute, you have 30 days from the date the payment is sent... i got burned for about $1500 one time because the seller kept saying 'the warehouse is backed up, it will be another 2 weeks due to the holiday rush" ..... yeah... 2 months later.... 3 months later.... then i put in the dispute with paypal... and they let me know they can do nothing because its after 30 days.... ive recovered about $600 of it...

so everyone learn from my $900 mistake ... 30 days or less.. dispute

thats not to say you cant file with your credit card... which is even better then dealing with paypal, they just take the money back from paypal and return it to you

*ALSO* if you win the dispute, theres no guarantee youll get the money back....another bad transaction... $250 i spent disputed... got 150 back because thats all the seller had in his paypal account

and then *if* they have enough, *and * you dispute it... youll get the money back MINUS 2 paypal transfer fees... say you pay $100 ... the seller gets $95... you dispute... youll get back $90

(not exact, but shows the idea)

research the seller is the bottom line, and if things go bad, go thru both paypal *and* your financial institution to recover your funds
