FAQ or DIY on G35 Window Reset?

Thought I read one before, but doing a search on window reset gives me a bunch of article links marked as invalid.

Passenger side window when hit on automatic to roll up, goes up, then comes back down about 25%. Holding the button to up will produce same result, have to bump the button multiple times to get window to close and stay up.

Power Window Reset Procedure

1. Remove the Door Panel. 2003-2005 Front Door Panel Removal Procedure

1. Remove door panel. a) Remove screw at door open pull.b) Remove door handle trim, pry silver plastic trim piece from lower side with a screwdriver. There's a small notch for the screwdriver blade to fit in. remove the two screws behind this cover.

c) Lift window switch plate up from the front edge it just pops off. Unplug wire harness.

d) Pull door panel off, clips hold it on, start from the lower edge.

e) Remove door lock and handle rods from the levers.

f) Unplug courtesy light at bottom of door.

2. With the door open, lift UP and HOLD the Window Switch until the Window is fully closed.

• Do not use the Window auto-closing function

• Do not release the Switch before the Window is fully closed

3. Get inside the vehicle and close the door.

• You need to close the door so the Door Switch is fully depressed

4. Press and HOLD the Window Regulator Motor Reset Switch. While holding the Reset Switch, press DOWN and HOLD the Window Switch until the Window is fully opened.

• Do not use the Window auto-opening function

• Do not release the Switch before the Window is fully opened

5. Release the Reset Switch. Then, lift UP and HOLD the Window Switch until the Window is fully closed.

• Do not use the Window auto-closing function

• Do not release the Switch before the Window is fully closed

6. Open the Door to release the Door Switch. The Window Glass should partially move down.

7. Re-install the Door Panel.
