The fans shouldn't be running at cold start up unless you have the compressor running (for defrost).

hey i just checked and there is 3 fan relays, 2 are brown and 1 is blue. And there is a 45a fuse for the fan too. Do u think one of these is bad or what?

It's most likely one of your relays. Only other thing I can think of would be the coolant temp sensor.

See if you can find a similar relay to something else non-essential, and switch them out one at a time.

it is also possible that you have a short to ground that is keeping them on all the time. i would check the relays first b/c it is possible for one of them to get stuck and keep the fans on the whole time, but it really sounds like a short to ground somewhere. you can test relays with a dvom as well.

i switched all the relays out and they are good b/c the fans are still on. Where do i look for a short and how do i know if there is one?

ok i tried a diferrent method with the relays today. with the car on i took one out at a time and 2 of them when i took out the fans didnt turn off but slowed down. neways they showd some type of difference when i removed the first 2 but the 3rd didnt make a difference. So im not sure but i think the 3rd one may be bad.
