I recently purchased a used 94 Q45 which had a factory Infiniti telephone in the console and some extra buttons on the steering wheel below the cruse control buttons. I did not want the phone, so I disconnected the connector wire and removed the phone. Now everytime I start the car there is a "loud beep" like the phone is trying to ring. Any way to stop this beep?As an alternate can the factory mic and speaker be made to work with a currect cell phone?

Sounds like some part of the phone is still in there. I haven't heard of anyone successfully getting the factory microphone set up with a modern hands-free or bluetooth adaptor.

In the trunk on the drivers side under the rear deck is the control box for the phone. You should unplug that and you should be good to go. There is one big harness and the antenna cable.

You could probably use the mic but the speaker output runs through the OEM stereo. You could use that if you wanted but it may not be worth the trouble. there is a 6 pin DIN plug on the back of the Bose radio that's used for the phone input. I haven't tried to use it for something else but that's what it is. Only sends sound to the drivers side speaker. The 8 pin DIN plug on the back of the radio is for an auxiliary input which you can use to pipe in your MP3 player. Let me know if you want details. There is a long thread on how to do it but if you don't want to mess with it, I make them as well for NICO guys.

Thanks a lot, I would love to have the details. Right now I am between jobs and have more time than sense to mess with it.
