Can anyone recommend a good extended service plan for me to purchase? I have a 1999 Q45 with a 119,000 miles. Most companies will only sell one for cars with less than 100,000 miles but i know there are still a few left that will provide one for up to 120K. My Q has not moved in 3 months because i want to purchase an extended warranty before i go over the 120K mark. P.S. I purchased a warranty for my LX450 from Consumers Choice and i was sent a notice 3 months later that they filed for Bankruptcy. I need your advise to prevent this from happening again. Thanks:

No smart LEGIT business would offer an extended contract {GET THAT THOUGHT OUT OF YOUR HEAD, NOW!}

beyond 100k as that is the design life of vehicles.However,To meet this many things have to be designed to last longer!

Not to say we haven't seen many 97-98 Q go 200,000 miles with excellant maintenace [even 250,000 miles].

Not for any measely $1500 [will anyone sell you a policy] when the risks are up to 4 times that amount and the probablities are at least half that $3,000 might be required tommorrow.

In the next 80,000 miles, it is highly unlikely that you will spend more than $6,000 in repairs plus an equal amount in maintenance.

The state of Texas average 9 cents across their entire fleet [with many economy cars].

15 cents per mile [assuming that everything is working now] and the vehicle was maintained to dealers severe driving standards previously] is the upper limit.

Because of the high mileage the private resale is down to $12-$14k.............roughly what you will spend over the next 80,000 miles.

But then again high highway mileage is good as there are fewer shifts per mile and fewer cranks per day.
