Hey all! So I'm thinking about changing my exhaust and need suggestions on what to get. I'm leaning towards the Injen True Dual, but by no means am I stuck on it. I'm looking for best performance gains first and foremost, then sound. Price isn't really an issue, but the lower the better. That way I can...You know... Get it sooner. Thanks for your help!

Its a toss up. A lot of people like the sound of the greddy TT which sounds very good. As far as performance, your not gonna really get anything out of a cat back, other than sound. If anything maybe 1-3 foot pounds of torque LOL....

I will also be looking for an exhaust and have decided on Bassani Xhaust. The reason is I like the sound of it not the gains, if I wanted gains I would just wait and get a GT-R. I love my car just want a little deeper sound.

Im considering the stillen dual exhaust system which adds 16 hp and costs 1,130 bc its on sale. how much does that injen cost? And how much is the horsepower gain? if its more powerful and cheaper than the stillen then you have me sold! Same with me, price is no issue compared to performance gains. Thats my number one lol. Heres the link to the one i was talking about http://www.stillen.com/product...model=

Thanks for the link, although now you've got me leaning towards that instead of the Injen. Anyway, the info. I've been looking at it for a while and the average price with titanium tips is about $982, and it says the average HP gains are anywhere from 9-11.

for the extra 100 dollars the extra 5-7 hp is worth it through my eyes. Stillen is also a respectable name, but I don't know too much. As of now, i am still leaning toward the stillen, but i wish some one with a little more experience than us could help us out!

I have run the Stillen and the HKS, which is what the Injen was designed after.

Nothing so far has proven bigger HP and TQ gains on a real dyno than Stillen.

I have seen the HKS, Borla, Injen and several Greddy's tested...my Stillen gained 12hp and 16tq. on a local Phx. dyno.

Stillen is a respectable name, however keep in mind that this exhaust is heavier than your stock. If you want cool looks, name, sound get the HKS, but it is more money. The greddy tt is designed for turbo apps, and you will prob loose some bottom end torque, as it's true for all the 3" exhausts. Greddy evo2 is worth considering if you don't mind the big can mufflers (i like them, one of my favorite exhausts in terms of looks and sound)

I have the greddy evo2 on mine and love it. I posted up a topic about it with a video, but I'm going to have to locate it again.

Found it. Here's the linkhttp://forums.nicoclub.com/zerothread?id=326170

I put the cats back on and it sounds much better.

I personally have a magnaflow and it seems like not to many people on here have magnaflow. I love it. I bought the Magnaflow muffler and had my exhaust guy put the piping from the cat to the muffler. I wanted the best sound so I went with 3" piping. I havent really heard a Z as loud as mine in my area as of yet! Id go with with Magnaflow FTW!!

I can vouch for the HKS. It's not loud at all when cruising around, but you definitely know it's there when you get on it. Plus it's one of the best looking exhausts for a Z in my opinion.

I have the EVO2. Great investment. I love it. The sound is a little deeper now. It took some time for the system to "cure" and the note changed for the better when it did.

make sure you listen to each exhaust that you are considering. A vert just passed me the other day that had exhaust- it sounded horrible, it was like there was a hole in the exhaust

Personally, I am going with the Nismo exhaust, you can buy one for $850. Lighter than stock and more power, best of all-OEM fitment. and as a bonus, if I were ever to sell my car, it would be considered as a factory option. That means I will actually get more money instead of loosing money if I used an aftermarket brand.

Goodluck and happy shopping!!!

I've had the Nismo, Injen, and Borla. Borla being the best one by far. No dronning and good gains. Stillen seems overpriced and from my expirience with them when I had my 300zx I wont buy anythign from them ever again. The magnaflow is a good exhaust also. But if I was going to go with something other than my Borla I'd go with the Greddy.

I think 350ztech.com has a sound clip of it. I dont stock Borla but I can get them. If you like the stock, exotic type sound of the stock exhaust you'll love the Borla. Especially with some resonated test pipes.

I have the greddy SP2 on mine. This is what is sounded like before I put on the NISMO Intake. It's a little deeper now that it's not gasping for air. I'll have to do another video soon. http://s194.photobucket.com/al...2.flv

So I think I've narrowed it down to either the Greddy Evo2, or the EvoTT. Question is, I don't need a turbo to use the TT correct? I kind of feel dumb asking but just want to make sure. I can't seem to find a clip of the Greddy Ti-C, anyone have one or heard it?

I've had my RS*R gtII for about 7 months now. It's a little too loud with my y-pipe but it sounds just right with the stock y. I'll bolt the JIC y pipe during track days and stock as a dd. Pretty good exhaust to imo OLD SCHOOL....

I have the Bassani TD Exhaust and it sounds awesome. Deep but not too loud. I actually want it to be a tad bit louder. You guys think some HFC will do that?
