Exhaust other than Stillen

A great resource for Nissan Sentra, Infiniti G20, 200sx, Pulsar, NX1600, NX2000, Tsuru, Primera and Sunny owners.

Anyone out there know if there are any exhausts coming out for the B16 2.0 OTHER THAN Stillen? I don't want to pay $550+ for an exhaust that looks stock. If it all comes down to it, welding it is!

i have heard rumor that both injen and greddy are soon to come out with exhausts for the 07 sentra. i know they have an se-r/spec v application but you might want to just give their customer service a call and see if they are also developing for the 2.0. i would assume that if they are they will be in the same price range as stillen anyways. good luck.

I DO know that the Spec V and 2.0 are routed the same...but if it's going to be a 2.5" pipe diamter I want to stay away, that little of backpressure will cause issues.

do you know what size piping the stillen 2.0 exhaust is? i think you're gonna have a hard time finding anything smaller than 2.5in if it's made for the spec, that seems to be the pretty standard size for that application.

2.25". At least, that's the size it LOOKS (done a few custom exhausts, I have decent eyes for sizes.)

I am leaning that way with a Skunk2 muffler, I love how they sound.

Nice this way you won't have to pay an arm and leg for something like Stillen. You could however go with BRM.

BRM uses Magnaflow mufflers/resonators. He appears to be opposed to them. It's beyond me as to why. Stock-ish or simple looking and a nice low, rumbly tone is exactly what I look for in an exhaust.

Every Skunk I've heard has been too buzzy.

I had Magnaflow on my Lancer, and, to be quite honest, I got tired of the "American" sound of it. TOO deep and not loud enough. I am leaning toward an HKS Carbon-Ti muffler ($165, ouch) because both of my coworkers have Hi-Power exhausts on their 240s.

I just don't like the STOCK look. I like the filling look of a cannister muffler.

i haven't heard much about brm exhausts until that recent post stating that brm has a cat-back available for the '07 spec v... is it a quality product and how does it compare to stillen, greddy, injen, or nismo? unbiased opinions please ladies and gentlemen, i know AZhitman is affiliated with BRM somehow so don't play favorites!

Cut them open and you'll see why.

There's a reason we only use Magnaflow, and it's because their design and engineering is decades ahead of anything else on the market... They've done the homework, and they build stuff that lasts.

Cancelling sound, rather than muffling it, is the only way to make a straight through system (which all BRM stuff is) sound appropriate.

I've often considered building a system for a 1.6 Honda JUST TO PROVE that they don't HAVE to sound like crap.

I would be happy with Magnaflow IF they built mufflers that looked like HKS, Greddy, etc...I like the LOOK along with the sound AND the performance.

magnaflow makes a couple mufflers that are round canister shaped like you like. some of the brm applications for the s13 and b15 used similar designs, and personally i don't really like the sound of greddy and hks is really loud, sorry. check the s13 and sr20 forums to find pictures of the brm exhausts and see if that's what you like.
