There is a TSB for this. Foam tape is used to fix a seal on the rear windows. Do a search here or elsewhere for Maxima/I35 rear window seal fix.ZGadson wrote:I've had my I35 for several months now, and its apparent that its not just dirt and snow on the trunk that are making the rear of the car loud. Today was the first time I'd actually seen it squeaky clean (waxed it) and it still sounds like there's a back window open.
Is it just me, or is this a design flaw that all 2002 models have?
I don't think its the windows though - it almost sounds like its coming from the gap between the rear window the trunk .teksurv wrote:

I have the 2003 I35 and it is doing the same thing. It is not bad at around 60 or 70. But above 70 is kinda noisy. I posted a message on Edmunds I30/E35 board and a guy said that he took his to a Air tight place. After that, it is quiet. I don't know what they did. I think I will just live with it and turn up the stereo a bit. After all, it is still a nice car.ZGadson wrote:I've had my I35 for several months now, and its apparent that its not just dirt and snow on the trunk that are making the rear of the car loud.
