EX35 Sun Visor Removal ?

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

Now that's an interesting question and I don't know the answer but I am curious why you would want to do that? They just sort of sit there out of the way.

On a related matter though, I'd like to know if the safety stickers on the sun visors can be easily peeled off without leaving a messy residue. It does annoy me to have to look at them all the time.

Somehow, that plastic cap has to be popped off for access to the hardware.

Those stickers don't come off. I'm surprised you even notice them. I use them to practice French.

There great and maybe, you can help ! I don't want any vinyl decals because they just look like pictures but I would love to have and embroifery of the infiniti logo in dark gray and the background that would cover the label in a gra with an adhesive backing & is that possible ?

It would have to be an iron on adhesive backing in order for it to stay. There is adhesive spray, but not as permanent.

In order to apply, the visor would have to be removed.

I measured the sticker at 6 1/4" x 3 5/8".

At that size the total design is 46K stitches.

Here is a rendering. Note: the colors are not exact.

Wow, that looks great but she doesn't want the name Infiniti underneath the logo ! You measurements are exact and I'm excited that I may have found the right place and what shades of gray do you have ?

My wife's 2010 EX35 has a light interior with gray accents, so if we put the right color grays together it should look great but why would the sunvisor have to be removed ?

Unless you remove the visor you'll be attempting to adhere the patch upside down.

I probably have 15 shades of grey. I could mail you a thread color chart, I have 350 different colors, but they cost $5.00ea. Refundable if you mail it back.

If you want to invest that, email me your address.

The patch I showed you above is $15.00ea.

$20.00 total cost with shipping.

Let me know.

Maybe, you could come up with a good color match ? My wife wants the Infiniti "logo" only and she would like it to blend more with the logo being ! The colors in your logo are too stark ! What do you suggest because the interior it light and the sunvisors are light also !

Can you make it with the "logo" only ? If we can just do the logo with the right grays she'll just love it !!!

What am I going to have to do to get these applied to each sun visor ?

The backing is heat sensitive. Usually applied with a heat press. They can be applied with an iron, but I wouldn't suggest doing so without removing the visor first.

Will you be able to just do the Infiniti logo without the lettering underneath ? This is going right over the bright yellow warning labels on the sun visors & will that be OK ?

Can you possibly put a double sided 3M adhesive on the back ?

I would like a medium gray background with a dark gray logo centered and proportioned in the 3 5/8" X 6 1/4" area !!!

Would you prefer that I e-mail you ? I also have a color printer if you wanted to fax me some grays ! I'm really looking forward to having these made up because my wife would love it !!!

Thanks for your patience !!!

I have a 2008 Ex35. I have to replace the passenger side sunvisor which is broken. Does anyone have detailed instructions on how to remove and replace. I looked all over YouTube and the Internet for a video, but no luck. I know the plastic cap needs to come off but having a problem taking it off and don't want to break it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.Thank you

There are instructions in a thread about fixing the sunroof... (you need to remove the visors and handles and headliner for the sunroof fix and your visor instructions are there)

The cap is a little tricky to get off because of the direction of the plastic clips. Use a screw driver and pop it off. It is possible to crack it in the process. I have an extra passenger sunvisor with mirror cover if anyone wants to buy it.

Not sure if an M35 is applicable but if so here is a good video on removing the sun visor on an Infiniti M. This is for the passenger side, but after looking at the drivers side, looks the same:
