EX35 / G37 Exhaust

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

I'm aware their won't be H.P. gains of any significance. Solely looking for the sound.

John
There are ABSOLUTELY ZERO baffles in the stock resonator/Mid-pipe

It looks like a glass pack

could be a glass pack but that would be more rice no?

i wonder what it is that makes the berk set up sound so good then? and if that's the case then the WIDE varieties of G37 aftermarket exhausts are all available to us!

i wonder if it's a material difference, and even thoguh the dimensions are all the same, the internals are designed differently with different materials for different sounds.

John just to double check, this is a G37 exhaust from the sedan right? or is the sedan and coupe using the same thing?

man i wish i could've seen and helped out in person, would've been able to brainstorm together

well, you saved me some trouble. I was gonna bring in the EX to work saturday and throw on a G37 muffler to see if it would fit... guess I don't need to. The cars have practically the same chassis.... If anyone is curious, the part number to the G37 coupe muffler is 20100-JL01C and it will probably cost you $700-$800 new. Unless you get it from a Gcoupe owner who got an aftermarket system...

You can get the mid-pipe for $441.00 and the rear muffler for $559.00.

Still a lot of dough for no change.

Guess I'll try the Megan to see if it has the sound I want.

Too old??? I guess it depends.. (on whether you wear them or not )..txgcoupe is 60, I am 57 and I can't wait to hear what the Megan sounds like on the EX. A lil vroom vroom keeps you young!! Reminds me of my '73 240Z with the 3 Webers, cam, headers and exhaust! We are all getting older but some of us will never grow up!

^ John, it wasn't that long ago that you got kicked off the quarter mile track with your BUSA because you didn't have full racing leathers and your bike was too fast - I DON'T CALL THAT OLD!

John, do you think there is any difference in the G37 exhaust and the EX35 exhaust then? aside from the tips being longer?

Here's my 2011 EX35 with a 2011 G37 Coupe muffler bolted on. Easiest swap ever once you get past the rusted bolts. Sounds much better but not nearly as loud or deep as the stock G37 coupe.
